Membership Q&A
Clark PTA brings families, educators, and community members together to create experiences that help students feel connected, supported, and excited to learn. Membership, fundraising, and volunteer support make many school programs, events, and community-building opportunities possible. Every family’s participation—whether through membership, time, ideas, or donations—helps strengthen the Clark community.
Joining Clark PTA is a simple way to show your support for Clark students and staff. Membership helps sustain PTA programs and events, connects you with the school community, and gives you a voice in PTA decisions. Members may also receive discounts at select events and have access to benefits offered through Washington State PTA and National PTA.
Most importantly, your membership sends a clear message: you believe in welcoming, enriching opportunities for every child at Clark.
Yes. Clark PTA membership is an annual sign-up, so families, teachers, and staff members who wish to remain members should renew each school year.
No. Membership does not require you to volunteer, attend meetings, or make an additional donation. We appreciate every member, and you are welcome to participate in the way that works best for your family.
There are many ways to help, and every contribution matters. Opportunities may include supporting events, fundraisers, classroom or school activities, and tasks that can be completed from home. You do not need to be a PTA member to volunteer.
Volunteers helping during the school day must complete the Issaquah School District volunteer application and receive approval. This requirement is renewed annually, so completing it early can make it easier to participate when an opportunity comes up.
Each school’s PTA is a separate organization. If you have children at more than one school, joining at each school directly supports that school’s community and gives you a voice in its PTA.
Not necessarily. A website account helps you sign in, register for opportunities, order yearbooks, and avoid re-entering your information. PTA membership is a separate annual purchase and must be renewed each school year.
A portion of each membership supports Washington State PTA and National PTA, including child advocacy and member resources. The remaining amount helps Clark PTA operate and serve our school community. Because membership dues alone do not fund all Clark programs and events, fundraising and donations remain important.
No. Membership and fundraising are separate—and both are meaningful. Membership builds our collective voice and supports the PTA network; fundraising provides essential funding for Clark programs and events. Families are invited to participate in either or both as their circumstances allow.
We want every family to feel welcome. If membership cost is a barrier, please contact Clark PTA privately at membership@clarkpta.org. Questions will be handled with care and discretion.
Choose what fits your family best:
Whether you give a little time, share an idea, become a member, or simply stay informed, you are an important part of our Clark community.
