Special Artist Rules

Entries must represent students’ unique creativity. Adults are welcome to encourage students, but are asked not to assist in any way with their interpretation of the theme or artistic expression.

The deadline for submissions to the Clark PTA office is 3:00 PM on Friday November 17th.

Are there rules specific to each artistic category?
Yes! Please see the specific rules and guidelines related to your chosen arts category or categories above. General program guidelines can additionally be found at

What happens to my creation once I have submitted it to Clark PTA?
Experts in each artistic category will judge the entries and those with the highest scores will continue to the District competition. Top-scoring entries from the District will move to the Washington State competition. The state PTA may select up to four entries in each of the six arts areas to submit to the National PTA, which recognizes its winning entries at the National PTA Annual Convention.

How will my creation be judged?
Entries are judged on interpretation of the theme and creative ability.

Will my creation be returned to me?
Literature, USBs, CDs and DVDs will not be returned by the Washington State PTA. Keep a copy for your records!

Will I have a chance to see what other Clark Elementary students created?
Yes! Participants and their families will be invited to attend a Clark PTA-sponsored celebration in the school Multi-Purpose room at 6 PM on Monday, November 20th. All participants will be recognized for their efforts, and we will learn which creations will move on to the District competition.
